Values Wheel

WHEEL NAME (appears as the chart title)
Current Goal

Instructions:

Decide what area you are looking at. Your overall life values or a context

Think carefully about what is important to you and put a heading for each value in the ‘Value’ field. You can add a field so you have up to 10 values

Then score yourself honestly out of ten on how you rate against each value now. Reflect on what your wheel shows you.

Choose a date in the future (e.g. one year’s time) and score how you would like each segment to rate out of ten when you reach that period in time It may be that you score all areas as a ten or it may be that you feel that some values are realistically more important to you than others in that timescale.

Reflect on what your wheel has shown you. Can you see that there is a catalyst area, where if you improve that area it will have a positive knock on affect in the other areas? If so this is a great one to concentrate on first. If there is not a catalyst area, then choose one area that you feel would make the biggest difference to you.

You could now do a values wheel on this area to go deeper or simply step back and consider, bearing in mind the things you can control, what you can do to make an impact in this area.

Questions to help you identify your values:

What’s important to you about this area?

What’s missing that you’d like to have in this area?

What do you feel that you need in this area?

What do you value in this area?

If you had all of that is that enough?

What do you want that area to give you?
